Job Opening: DexaFit Testing Specialist (Full-Time and Part-Time/PRN positions available, On-Site)

Are you a Mississippi licensed Radiologic Technologist with a passion for health and wellness looking for a rare opportunity to work in the fast-growing wellness industry?  Does the idea of starting on the ground floor of a local Mississippi business with career advancement potential excite you?  As a Testing Specialist at DexaFit of Central MS, your role is pivotal in guiding our clients on their wellness journey. Our Testing Specialists undergo comprehensive training on diverse screening technologies, empowering our clients to enhance their body composition, fitness, and overall health and longevity. The DexaFit DEXA scan, as featured on Netflix’s “You Are What You Eat” documentary, is the leading method for evaluating body fat percentage, bone density, visceral fat, and lean muscle mass, and is among the key assessments we offer. Our metabolic analysis includes tests for Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) to gauge metabolic efficiency and VO2 max for assessing cardiovascular endurance and optimal heart rate zones.  In this multifaceted position you’ll also be the voice responding to our client phone calls/emails/texts and involved in our social media and marketing presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer body composition, RMR, and VO2 max assessments using DEXA technology

  • Provide client consultation after testing sessions explaining results, reviewing progress over time, and discussing goals/next steps and coaching options available 

  • Manage and upkeep equipment to guarantee precise and quality outcomes

  • Orient clients before examinations, clarifying the procedure and addressing any inquiries

  • Keep accurate records and documentation following set guidelines

  • Comply with safety standards and procedures to safeguard client and staff safety

  • Assist with marketing and social media management

  • Monitor and respond to client incoming emails, texts, and voicemails. 

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed


Qualifications Required:

  • Valid ARRT certification

  • Current RT licensure in the state of Mississippi 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training/certification can be provided)

  • Passionate about health and wellness

  • Exceptional communicative abilities for effective client, healthcare professional, and team interaction

  • Willing to learn and grow within a company
